2021 Jeep: What should we expect?

2021 Jeep: What should we expect?

The newest generation of the 2021 Grand Cherokee
In 2021, the FCA is launching the 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. With a longer wheelbase and rear overhang, the imposing 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will offer more room for its passengers. The iconic 7-slot grille has been slightly redesigned to give it an up-to-date look that maintains its bite.

Possibility of a new turbo
The first edition of the 5th generation Grand Cherokee will offer a choice between the 295 horsepower of the 3.6 L Pentastar V6 and the 360 horsepower of the 5.7 L V8 HEMI. However, a new turbocharged engine like the 2.0 L engine of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler may be added.

The engine of the 2021 Grand Cherokee will be paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the current shift lever gear-selector will be replaced with a rotary dial.

The new Jeep Wagoneer
The models of the 2021 edition of the new Jeep Wagoneer, the first ever, and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, will be assembled on the same platform as the RAM 1500. These full-sized 3-row SUVs will compete with the Ford Expedition and the Chevrolet Suburban.

The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer should have the same chassis as the RAM 1500 and possibly offer the same powertrains. So expect them to be equipped with a 3.6 L Pentastar V6 with the eTorque light hybrid system or a powerful 5.7 L V8 HEMI, also equipped with eTorque. It is possible that a 3.0 L V6 Diesel will be added to the engine line-up of the 2021 Wagoneer.

Jeep 4x4 Traction
The new 2021 Grand Cherokee, the Jeep Wagoneer and the 2021 Grand Wagoneer will offer Jeep's Quadra-Trac traction systems and a rotary drive mode selector (Snow, Sand, Mud, Rocks, Auto) as well as several towing technologies, such as Trailer Sway Control and a Self-Levelling Suspension.
